Voltage Gain Calculator
Calculate voltage gain for amplifiers in both ratio and decibel (dB) formats. Supports op-amps, transistor amplifiers, and other electronic circuits.
About Voltage Gain
Voltage gain is a measure of how much an amplifier increases the amplitude of an input signal. It's expressed as either a ratio or in decibels (dB).
Common Amplifier Types:
- Op-Amp: Very high gain (10⁵ to 10⁶)
- BJT Amplifier: Medium to high gain (10 to 1000)
- FET Amplifier: Medium gain (5 to 100)
- Buffer/Follower: Unity gain (≈1)
Applications:
- Audio amplifiers
- Signal conditioning
- Sensor amplification
- Communication systems
